BFW Spotlight: Traci Greiss
At BFW 2 years
Job title: Project Administrator but I also assist with Accounts Payable. I get to interact with our customers on a daily basis, taking initial calls and getting all the necessary information to set up the job and get it assigned to a project manager. I provide administrative assistance to our PM, Brian Howard; creating contracts, invoicing, collections. For A/P, I help in assigning and entering POs and invoices and paying bills when Lin is out. Helping with POs allows me to interact with a lot of my co-workers.
Best thing about my job is helping our customers. From getting that sometimes panicked initial call and working with someone throughout the process, to hearing how thankful and happy they are at the end of the job. It makes what we do worth it. The people I get to work with is a close second favorite thing. It’s a large group of people with different personalities, yet we somehow manage to all work together well. We all get along and have fun while doing our jobs. It definitely makes it enjoyable to come into the office. Even when it is hectic here, we all pull together and work as a team and manage to have a good laugh throughout the day.
I have one son who is in college, but I got married shortly before starting at BFW and my husband has 8 children, ranging in age from 10-26. We have 2 boys and 7 girls. The older ones are away at college or out on their own, but we have 4 living at home with us. It is safe to say there is never a dull moment (or a quiet one) in our house. We also have 1 dog, an elderly Boston Terrier named Lily.
Our kids love BFW’s Open Houses because they get to dress up and help. In my 2 years here, they have been Oompa Loompas and Thing One & Thing Two’s. We no sooner recover from one Open House here at BFW and my kids want to know when the next one will be and what they will get to dress up as.
Before coming to BFW I was an office manager at a small company where I had been for 25 years. When I decided it was time to make a change, I came across BFW and saw an opportunity to help make a difference in people’s lives. I had no clear idea of what went on at a restoration company, but I was willing to find out. And I have learned a lot since then.
Outside of work, I read a lot and love to travel. My husband and I go to a lot of concerts.
